TIE DYE FAUX WRAP

Hi guys this next DIY is from tie dye Challis fabric. This print called my name and I knew it was gonna be a wrap dress, a FAUX wrap dress! The pattern was a self drafted bodice and semi circular skirt to make the dress. Tutorial coming soon!

POCKETS, PLEATS & PRINTS.

Hi guys, who doesn't love a skirt with pockets? Check out this DIY ankara print maxi with pockets I made recently. While vacationing in Trinidad last year I spotted this gorgeous print which is a slight stretch cotton sateen. These trendy yet versatile skirts are seen everywhere from mini, midi to maxi and can work with just about any occasion. I'll do a tutorial soon for anyone interested in making this so stay tuned!!

INSPIRATION!

Meet my daughter, Maryam Aliyah-Zahra Amin! She is MAZA and the inspiration that got me starting this blog. At only 4 years she's quite a lil fashionista and wardrobe consultant. She inspires me to follow my dreams and put my best foot forward. WOW, I'VE DONE IT!

As I begin in the the name of Almighty God, I welcome you to my new blog. I've been wanting to do this for a long time but kept postponing/procrastinating due to fear basically. Today I've decided to kick fear in the butt and turn my I CAN'T to I CAN! I've been sewing/diy-ing for a long time and instead of keeping it private, I've made it public where I can share my ideas and inspirations with everyone. It's been such a roller coaster of emotions putting it all together but in the end I'm happy. I've also decided to take lots of pictures, so bear with me (you experts) for the large amount of content I may have. Keep checking in as I will add content weekly and sometimes several times a week.
